Is NeuroWake a form of therapy?
No. NeuroWake is not therapy and does not provide medical or clinical advice. It is a calm space for personal reflection using AI. For mental health support, please consult a licensed professional.
Do I need an account to use NeuroWake?
No. You can use NeuroWake in Guest mode at any time. If you’d like to save insights or access your chat later, creating an account is free and optional.
Does NeuroWake track me?
No. We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, or behavioral data collection. Your experience is entirely private.
How long is my chat data stored?
If you opt in to saving insights, your saved data is kept for a maximum of 180 days. After that, it is automatically deleted. Guest sessions are never stored.
Who can access my data?
Only you. No one at NeuroWake can see, read, or access your chats or profile information. We only store what you choose to save, and you can delete it at any time.
Can I delete my chat history?
Yes. You can delete individual sessions or your entire history from the settings page. A prompt will confirm your choice: “Delete current” or “Delete all.”
Can I download my data?
Yes — if you’ve chosen to save chats, you’ll be able to download your stored reflections from the settings page. You’re always in control of what stays and what goes.
What happens if I refresh the page?
If you are in Guest mode, refreshing will reset your current session. If you’re logged in and saving chats, new messages are saved as you go — refreshing won’t erase them.
What technology powers NeuroWake?
NeuroWake is built using OpenAI's GPT-3.5 model, Firebase for secure authentication and storage, and Vercel for fast and private hosting. Everything is designed to respect your privacy and stay lightweight.
Is my data shared with OpenAI?
Yes — when you send a message, it’s sent to OpenAI’s GPT model so NW can respond. Only your message is included. We never send your name, email, or account data.
Will NeuroWake always be free?
For now, yes — all features are free.
At a certain point, if the number of users grows, we may need to introduce a small monthly fee to help cover the cost of AI and other services that keep the site running. Everything is currently paid out of pocket by the developer.
Anyone already using NeuroWake when this change is introduced will be grandfathered in as a legacy user and will not be charged.
